September Recap

This month’s meeting was all about the North Texas Quilt Festival and what a HUGE success our guild had! To start off with membership, the size of our guild jumped to 67 total members! We also had 9 guests in attendance, many of which showed interest at our booth at the festival. The festival was also a big success financially!  Making a profit is a big accomplishment for a quilt show, let alone our first ever quilt show. Our biggest success was the mini quilt auction. We started the meeting off with our membership and treasurer reports. We had no new members this month, but hoped this would change after the festival! Additionally, we had 19 pillowcases for Cook Children’s hospital turned in! An update was given on how the North Texas Quilt Festival was progressing as it was only a month away! We had quite a few mini quilts turned in for the auction...

June Recap

Our June meeting kicked off on June 15, 2017 with a charity progress report. In June we had 10 totes, 4 nap mats, 5 ACH pillowcases, 4 Cook Children’s pillowcases, and 4 heart blocks turned in. Safe Haven also let us know, they would like to feature our organization in an upcoming newsletter. Additionally, as our time commitment had passed, we would not be collecting pillowcases for ACH. Planning for the Nort Texas Quilt Festival was still in full swing, with the announcement that Libs Elliott had designed cover artwork for our notebooks to sell. We also had several mini...
